Argon is an inert gas recommended for use with wine as it will not react with it. Great for keeping wine for long periods of time in the Cooler Keg. Argon is heavier than room air so it creates a protective layer over the wine protecting it from any oxygen. Also great for use with: coffee, cocktails, mixed drinks, or any situation where you do not want to carbonate the beverage. 

The chemistry of Argon is different that CO2. One CO2 cartridge will run both kegs from full to empty, buy you will need more than one Argon cartridge to run both kegs.
